Rukri Ma

Acrylic on Canvas
58.42 x 71.12 cm
2025

Inspired by the emotional resonance of Kuma Sagar’s song Rukri Ma, this work explores shifting identity through figures adorned with Pyakhān-inspired masks. The linked forms suggest the fluid process of inhabiting, shedding, and confronting different aspects of the self.

Drawing from the visual language of traditional mask dance while reinterpreting it within a personal psychological space, the work reflects on transformation, memory, and emotional introspection within the framework of Bhavana.
