Shri Yantra Mandala is based on the concept of the five elements within the prevalent ritual image of the Shri Yantra. The five elements of Vajrayana Buddhism are conceptually the basis of everything that exists in the phenomenal world. By using the symbolic color of each element the nine triangles of the Shri Yantra are layered and reveal the interconnected system of the yantra. The final triangle at the center is the red element of fire in a downward triangle representing the universal womb.
