About the Art

Among nine manifestations of Adishakti Durga, Kalaratri is the seventh manifestation that is worshipped on seventh day of Navaratri. She is dark black in complexion with hair twisted in single braid, wears earring of Hibiscus flower and is generally
depicted riding on a donkey. This is the most ferocious form of Goddess Durga and also referred as Shubhangkari.
