About the Art

The artist pays a tribute to those warriors who won the battle against cancer and those who are still battling cancer. “Monalisa,” by Leonardo Da Vinci is a famous iconic painting, most parodied by artists worldwide. Cancer is also a topic and a health issue grabbing attention as its spreading so rampantly. The reason why the artist chose Monalisa to portray as a “Cancer Survivor” is because the face of Mona Lisa represents power, strength, and survival in the world of art. It’s a tribute to cancer survivors by putting them on a pedestal as powerful as Monalisa.
