About the Art

The elephant headed god is also called by the name of "Ganapati" and "Vinayak". The name 'Gana' means people and by this Ganesh is the God of People. The legend has it that if anyone worships Lord ganesh first during any religious processions or celebration, the task will be successful.

The big bandicoot rat is his vahana (vehicle) which reflects Ganesh's ability to conquer everything he wants to get.
