Ama Dablam from above Pangboche, 2001
This is the mighty spire of the west face of Ama Dablam (6812m) that greets all visitors to the upper Khumbu region. The name Ama Dablam is a Sherpa name that means Mother’s (Ama) and Dablam is a small sachet Tibetan women may wear in which they put small papers on which are written their hopes and wishes.
