About the Art

The Akshobhyavajra–Guhyasamaja Mandala is a symbolic embodiment of the Guhyasamaja Tantra that emphasizes in method while practice as described in the Vajravali text by Abhayakaragupta. The mandala is a collection of 32 deities,
generally used as a visual image in rituals and meditation of Guhyasamaja. Guhyasamaja is a semi-wrathful emanation with three faces, blue-black in color and portrayed sitting in vajrasana embracing his spiritual consort.
