Dos and Don’t of Heritage Conservation

Workshop Conducted by: Dr. Ayesha Fuentes

Dr. Fuentes is an objects conservator and researcher specialicing in the care and handling of archaeological and anthropological collections. She is a graduate of the UCLA/Getty MA Program in the Conservation of Archaeological and Ethnographic Materials and in 2021 completed her PhD at SOAS University of London, writing on the use of human remains in Tibetan and Himalayan ritual objects.

Objective of the Session
The workshop will focus providing insights and reading materials on usage of vernacular objects to preserve object of historical importances.

  • Day I: General Introduction of the program.
  • Day II – Day V: Lecture sessions, on-site workshop, visit to different institutions such as National Museum.
