Using brick, plaster, and watercolor, Joshi recreates the material language of ancient mural traditions of the Kathmandu Valley. The fading lotus recalls the primordial bloom of Svayambhu while reflecting the impermanence of cultural forms shaped by time.

The work explores decay, reconstruction, and continuity, suggesting that although physical forms may disappear, traditional knowledge, lineage, and collective memory continue to endure through preservation and practice.
