Eudaimonia

Mixed Medium with Acrylic, Spray and Mineral Colors
91.44 x 91.44 cm
2026

This work reinterprets Eudaimonia, human flourishing, as a fragile, lived condition shaped by emotion and self-preservation. A black cat, freed from superstition, becomes a quiet stand-in for the self, resting within a sanctuary of plants and fruits that suggest growth and modest fruition.

A sculptural counterpart presents the cat exposed and vulnerable, creating tension between inner refuge and external reality. Together, they reflect flourishing as a continuous negotiation between protection, uncertainty, and awareness.
