Ursula Manandhar is Museologist, researcher and writer who specializes in Buddhist art, iconography, and philosophy. She holds a Master’s degree in Museology and Buddhist Collection Management from Lumbini Buddhist University. She is deeply passionate about preserving and promoting Nepal’s cultural heritage. Her expertise lies in Buddhist art and iconography. Currently she is Head of Research at Museum of Nepali Art (MoNA) and curate exhibitions, catalogs museum objects, and publishes insightful articles that highlight the artistic and historical value of Nepal’s treasures. She has authored several books highlighting the works of renowned living artists from Nepal. Additionally, she is proficient in traditional scripts like Rajana and Prachalit Nepal.
In addition to my role at MoNA, she serves as a faculty member at Lotus Academic College and Aksheswar Traditional Art College, where she teaches Buddhist Art History. She finds great fulfillment in inspiring and educating the next generation of art enthusiasts and scholars.
