About

Born in 1948, Karmacharya is an eminent contemporary artist with a specialization in concept design, graphic design and book illustrations. He has designed 401 Nepali postage stamps. He thinks of art as his key to the world, and has travelled extensively in Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Siri Lanka, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. He completed his Diploma course (Kalapravin) from Shree Juddhakala Pathsala (Nepal Art School) in 1965, and completed his Bachelor of Art degree from Tribhuvan University in 1975. His work has been exhibited in Nepal, Germany and South Korea. He currently serves as the member-secretary of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts and the coordinator of the Artist's Circle.
