Anil Shakya and Suman Shakya, from a metal-working family in Patan, are passionate about statue-making using the lost wax method. They work mainly with copper, silver, gold, and iron, with copper being considered the metal of purity by Tibetan masters.
Anil Shakya began to develop a passion for creating intricate designs and enhancing images. He aimed to make history come alive through his work, often using floral styles and figures to protect or enhance the main deity. These designs reflect the artist's conscious intent or subconscious, making the pieces unique and a true reflection of their talent.
