About the Art

This scene is from the 6,000m level of the East Rongbuk Glacier just off the trail to the advanced base camp on the north side of Qomolungma/Everest. The slow-moving glacier had over years upturned a slab of ice which was then shaped by the elements into this awe-inspiring sculptural edifice, under which Jack Puyo stands.
