About the Art

Pronounced as Gau or Gao, this is a Tibetan Buddhist Amulet. Mostly accommodating container or prayer box. It is often referred to as a Tibetan Ghau pendant when worn as jewelry and is often ornamented with semi-precious stones. It is like a small container used for holding powerful amulet objects and carrying them. This Ghau encompasses 21 Tara in the middle and at the bottom is the Padmapani Lokeshvora.
