This painting is one of the oldest masterpiece in this exhibition. Arya Tara is the Bodhisattva of compassion and action, worshipped to develop internal and external qualities of love and kindness. She is considered to be the female aspect of Avalokitesvara.
The painting depicts unique style of Shakya: photographic effect and anatomical and ornamental details. One can observe simulated early photographic effect accompanied by meticulous details in anatomy and ornaments.
