About the Art

Who would have thought that THE MASK would be in such high demand? We have Presidents and Prime Ministers of the most developed nations begging others for it. By the time COVID-19 ends, there will be literally hundreds of billions of masks in the dumping sites. Although this work is a continuation of the Third Eye series based on thematic representations of self-identity and gender, it revolves around the thought of one’s inner spiritual space of higher consciousness being overshadowed by the unprecedented value of a glitzy GOLDEN MASK. Still with the Third Eye layered with rainbow colors, the pot of gold (HOPE) lies in the horizon to redeem one’s morality. “We may choose to close our eyes to avoid seeing the reality, but the consciousness (Third Eye) will always remain open and prevailing.” – Erina Tamrakar
