About the Art

The Akshobhyavajra–Guhyasamaja Mandala is a symbolic embodiment of the Guhyasamaja Tantra that emphasizes in method while practice as described in the Vajravali text by Abhayakaragupta. The mandala is a collection of 32 deities, generally used as a visual image in rituals and meditation of Guhyasamaja. Guhyasamaja, blue-black in color, is portrayed as a semi-wrathful emanation with three faces in white, black blue and red and six arms, sitting in vajrasana and embracing his spiritual consort with his two principal arms
